Mobile surveillance trailer companies, compared

How the providers in this category actually differ — how you buy, what platform you commit to, what each publishes about specifications and price, and who each one genuinely fits. Every factual claim is drawn from the vendor's own public materials and cited.

How to read this page. Sharpvue publishes this comparison and Sharpvue builds trailers, so hold it to a standard: every factual cell below is sourced, every provider gets its real strengths and a straight answer on who it suits, and where a vendor does not publish something we say “Not publicly specified” rather than guessing or implying the capability is missing.

You will notice the specification columns are uneven. That is the actual state of this market: some providers publish full spec tables, others market an outcome and disclose almost nothing. We report that gap rather than filling it in.

Last reviewed: September 2026. Claims are re-verified against their sources at least every 180 days.

What is not on this page, and why
VPS Group
UK-based. Its Alert Tower is a video-verified alarm tower (1.7–2.3 m mast, ~20 m detection range), not a US mobile surveillance trailer — a different product category with negligible US trailer search intent.
Rhombus, Spot AI and similar software-only platforms
Publish trailer comparisons but sell no off-grid hardware; they require existing powered cameras, so they are not an alternative for a trailer decision.
Alarm.com, OpenEye
Sharpvue integration partners. Never compared.

Other providers operate in this category — including Pro-Vigil, 2M Technology, Backstreet Surveillance, Big Red Trailers, Valorence and Zedcor. They are not compared here yet because we have not completed a sourced review of their published information to the standard described below, and we would rather list nothing than publish specifications we cannot cite.

Research & methodology

This comparison is compiled from publicly available information, including each manufacturer's own website and product documentation. Where a specification, capability or price is not published by the vendor, this page states “Not publicly specified” rather than guessing — that phrase means the information was not found in public sources, not that the vendor lacks the capability.

Statements of fact are cited below. Sections labelled as considerations, “best for”, or “who should choose” are Sharpvue's interpretation of that public information, not statements of fact.
