Privacy Policy

This policy explains why Sharpvue collects personal data and how we use it. References to “Sharpvue”, “Sharpvue iVISION”, “we”, “us”, and “our” are references to Sharpvue, LLC. It covers this website (sharpvue.com), the Sharpvue iVISION Cloud service, and our products and services generally. “Personal data” means any information relating to an identified or identifiable person — such as a name, email address, phone number, location data, or an online identifier.

Questions about anything here? Use our contact form or the support link in Sharpvue iVISION Cloud.

What personal data we collect

  • Contact. Information required to contact you — for example your name, email address, and phone number.
  • Company. Information related to your company or employer, such as contact details and your position.
  • Billing. Information required to process payments, such as credit card information.
  • Account. Preferences for your Sharpvue iVISION account — for example whether you want to receive marketing communications, and language preferences.
  • System. Information required to use Sharpvue products and services, such as IP address and system name.
  • Website forms. When you submit a contact, quote, or demo form on sharpvue.com, we receive the details you enter along with standard request information (such as your IP address and device type) used to route your inquiry and protect against abuse.
  • Other. Information you voluntarily share with us as part of normal business — for example requests for product information or support.

How we use personal data

  • Business transactions. To send transactional information when you request information about Sharpvue products or services in the course of normal business. This is necessary for our legitimate interest in commencing and sustaining the business relationship with you or your company.
  • Account creation, management, and maintenance. To create and manage the online account you register for. This is necessary to perform the contract between Sharpvue and you regarding your account and the service features available through it.
  • Marketing communications. To send you marketing communications where you have opted in — information about Sharpvue, our products, solutions, services, events, and promotions, by email or other channels. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Responding to you. To communicate with you for the specific purpose you contacted Sharpvue about.
  • Administration and improvement. To monitor, for necessary administrative purposes and improvement, the use of our online products, solutions, and services.

Sharpvue does not share your personal data except for the purposes described in this policy and as required by law. We do not sell it.

Cookies & browser storage

Sharpvue.com does not use advertising cookies, third-party analytics, or tracking pixels, and we do not sell or share visitor data. The site stores only the following, all of it first-party and functional:

  • Session cookies. If you sign in to a Sharpvue-operated area of the site (for example, our internal admin tools), a cookie keeps you signed in. Visitors who never sign in are not given these cookies.
  • On-device browsing trail. Your browser keeps a local, anonymous list of the Sharpvue pages you visit during your session (page paths, titles, and time on page). This stays on your device and is sent to us only if you submit a contact, quote, or demo form — where it helps our team understand what you were interested in. It is never shared with third parties.
  • Spam protection. Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to block automated spam. Turnstile is designed by Cloudflare to verify visitors without tracking cookies or behavioral profiling.
  • Video player.Product videos are served through YouTube's privacy-enhanced player (youtube-nocookie.com), which does not set tracking cookies. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play.

Because none of this is used for advertising or cross-site tracking, the site does not show a cookie consent banner. You can clear the stored data at any time through your browser's site-data settings, and the site keeps working normally with storage blocked. The Sharpvue iVISION Cloud portal maintains its own session cookies and preference storage needed to operate the service.

Surveillance video & AI detection data

Sharpvue surveillance units — trailers, portable units, and fixed cameras — record video for one customer: the customer the unit is deployed for. That video is isolated to your account.

  • Isolated to your account. Footage and event data from your units are private to your account. We never pool, share, or cross-reference video or vehicle data across customer accounts, and we never sell it.
  • Detection, not recognition. Sharpvue AI analytics detect that a person, vehicle, or license plate is present in the scene so events stand out on screen and in alerts. Our license-plate detection does not read, transcribe, store, or share plate numbers.
  • No plate database. Sharpvue does not operate a license-plate database, a cross-customer vehicle lookup network, or any data-sharing arrangement with third parties built on customer footage. Unlike surveillance networks that share vehicle data across all of their users, your data works only for you.
  • You control your footage. You decide who on your team can view, export, or share video from your units. Sharpvue accesses customer video only to provide support you request.

Data controller and data processor

This policy is specific to personal data that Sharpvue, LLC collects and uses as a data controller. When you use Sharpvue products and services, you and/or your company (or another third party) act as the data controller of the data you give Sharpvue access to — for example video, images, and any personal data contained in them. In those cases Sharpvue acts solely as the data processor and processes that data only on your behalf, in accordance with your instructions and applicable law.

Your rights: access, correction, and deletion

You have the right to request and receive information on what personal data we hold about you, get access to that data, ask us to erase some or all of it, ask us to restrict or stop using it, and receive a copy of it in a structured, accessible format.

Note that if you ask us to erase or restrict the use of your personal data, we may not be able to continue managing your Sharpvue online account or providing services to you.

To exercise any of these rights — or if you have a question this policy doesn't answer — use our contact form or the support link in Sharpvue iVISION Cloud.
