Why I built Sharpvue.
I started Sharpvue in 2015 after twenty years in cloud video, because I kept watching property owners deal with the same two problems. They couldn't see what was happening on their sites without driving out to them. And the damage — theft, vandalism, break-ins — was almost always done by people who had no business being on the property in the first place.
So we built the solution around those two jobs. First, visual access from anywhere: solar-powered, cloud-connected units you can place on any site and watch from your phone or desk, day or night, with no grid power and no trenching. Second, real deterrence: AI that spots a person or vehicle the moment they show up, with lights, strobes, and live talk-down that make it unmistakably clear someone is watching — so the person who isn't supposed to be there moves on before anything happens.
Everything we build in Chapin, South Carolina still follows from that: protect people and property, give owners eyes on their sites from anywhere, and keep every customer's video private to them. That's the company I set out to build, and it's the one we run today.
