WCCTV's model is a fully-managed security rental: one predictable monthly price for the length of the deployment, covering the unit, the platform and 24/7 live monitoring from US-based centres with trained operators. For a general contractor running a 14-month build, that is an operationally simple purchase — it lands in the project budget, and nobody on site has to own a piece of equipment.

Sharpvue manufactures the trailer and sells it, or rents it through the dealer network on both OpenEye and Alarm.com configurations. Ownership means the unit moves from project to project, appears on the balance sheet with residual value, and carries no term commitment on the hardware — but it also means someone in your organization, or your dealer, owns responsibility for it. Sharpvue publishes a full spec table per model. The MAST carries a 1,170 W solar array, a 200 Ah 48V battery bank, a 22 ft telescoping mast, and a documented 14 W total camera draw, at 1,600 lb on a 2-inch ball. Runtime is published at 8–10 days on a full charge with a 6–8 hour solar recharge, and an external generator input on a 100 A Anderson connector is available where a site needs to charge faster than the sun allows. Those figures are for the published configuration and vary with load, temperature, battery condition and available solar.

Interpretation: in a rental you are buying an outcome and the provider carries the risk of the equipment underperforming, so published specs matter less. Connectivity and site coverage

WCCTV publishes secure 4G/5G cellular connectivity. Satellite was not mentioned in the materials we reviewed. Sharpvue runs multi-carrier 5G/LTE with automatic carrier-to-carrier failover and offers Starlink as an option, which is the relevant distinction for sites where no carrier has usable coverage — remote utility corridors, early-stage construction before infrastructure arrives, and rural industrial sites.

Monitoring and deterrence

WCCTV delivers 24/7 live monitoring by trained operators at US-based monitoring centres as part of the managed service, and offers air quality, noise and weather sensors alongside the surveillance package — genuinely unusual in this category and valuable on sites with environmental compliance obligations. Audio deterrence and strobe specifications were not found in the materials we reviewed.

Sharpvue provides audio and visual deterrence through the Sharpvue BLAST IP strobe speaker: a 120 dB siren with two-way talk-down and listen-in, front and rear strobes, PoE powered, with native ONVIF and SIP support.
