About the role

Sharpvue's products run in the real world — outdoors, off-grid, in all weather. We're looking for an Electrical Engineer to help us build hardware that's rugged, reliable, and field-proven, from cameras to AI-powered mobile security trailers. This role is based at our Assembly Plant. What you'll do: • Design, develop, and test electrical systems for Sharpvue products — cameras, mobile security trailers, power and control systems • Engineer off-grid power systems: solar arrays, battery banks, charge controllers, DC/AC conversion, and power budgeting • Design and review wiring schematics, harnesses, connectors, and PCB-level circuits • Select components and manage BOMs with an eye on cost, availability, and reliability • Integrate cameras, sensors, networking gear, and third-party systems (e.g., cellular connectivity, alarm integrations) • Build and test prototypes; troubleshoot in the lab and in the field • Ensure designs meet relevant safety, EMC, and industry standards • Document designs and support manufacturing, sourcing, and quality Why Sharpvue: • Build real, physical products in a fast-growing security company • Ownership and influence over product design — your work ships • Competitive salary and benefits • Collaborative, hands-on team

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience) • 3+ years of hands-on electrical design experience • Strong understanding of DC power, solar/battery systems, and low-voltage electronics • Experience reading and creating schematics and wiring diagrams (Altium, EAGLE, KiCad, or similar) • Comfortable with lab instruments and field troubleshooting • Knowledge of NEC, UL, or EMC standards a plus • Familiarity with IP cameras, cellular/IoT connectivity, or surveillance systems a strong plus Nice to have: • Experience with ruggedized or outdoor/industrial equipment • Embedded firmware or microcontroller experience • PE license or path toward it
