Sharpvue Extends Its MAST Fleet Software to Permanent Sites with the Portable Surveillance Unit
Built at customer request, the AC-powered PSU runs the same iVISION video platform and MySharpvue diagnostics as the MAST trailer line — on a unit that stays put.
Chapin, S.C. — Sharpvue today introduced the Portable Surveillance Unit (SV-PSU), an AC-powered surveillance platform that puts the company's cloud video management and fleet diagnostics software on a permanently mounted unit. The PSU was built in direct response to customers running MAST trailer fleets who asked for the same software, the same diagnostics, and the same fleet program at locations that needed to stay covered indefinitely.
Customers wanted the platform somewhere permanent
A surveillance trailer is a temporary answer by design — it arrives for a phase of work and leaves when the phase ends. But the sites these customers were protecting also included rooftops, interior courtyards, tight urban infill, and entrances that needed permanent coverage, in places with no room to tow a chassis and not enough sun to run one.
What they did not want was a second system, a second login, and a second set of diagnostics to manage alongside their trailers.
One fleet, one dashboard
Every PSU appears in MySharpvue next to the customer's trailers — the same live map, the same fleet, the same diagnostics the MAST line has always reported.

- Power and connectivity health — battery voltage, load power, and cellular signal, for every unit.
- Proactive alerts — catch a unit that drops offline or loses power before it becomes a gap in coverage.
- ODIN, the built-in AI engineer — reads the full unit state, explains what is wrong in plain language, and runs the fix remotely: clear a stuck gateway, power-cycle the VMS, push firmware across the fleet. No truck roll.
- Uptime and activity reporting — pull the numbers for customer reviews and SLAs.
- Included with the unit — no add-on fees, no per-unit licensing.
Video runs on iVISION, Sharpvue's cloud video management system and the same platform behind the MAST line, with unlimited live streams, continuous recording, and AI search across every camera.

Installed by the site, not a crew
The PSU mounts to a pole or a wall and is installed by site personnel, with no heavy equipment, specialized technicians, or special tools.
- Cameras — two high-resolution bullet cameras with built-in infrared standard, with an optional 360-degree fisheye upgrade for blind-spot coverage.
- Deterrence — a programmable strobe, alert siren, and two-way speaker fire on camera AI events such as line crossing, intrusion, and loitering, so an intruder is confronted as they are detected rather than reviewed after the fact.
- Power — universal 110–277V AC with a lithium battery for uninterrupted operation through outages.
- Build — aluminum and stainless steel housing with temperature-controlled dual-fan cooling.
Availability
The Portable Surveillance Unit is available now through the Sharpvue dealer network. Optional remote video monitoring adds live operators who can issue real-time voice-down warnings and dispatch police when criminal activity is confirmed. The PSU is designed and built in the United States and is NDAA Section 889 compliant.
