Our Privacy Mission

 

Sharpvue, LLC. provides subscribers numerous advanced security and automation services not available anywhere else from a single provider. We are sensitive to the private nature of the information you provide to us. Our Privacy Policy is designed to maximize your ability to protect your personal, private data while at the same time giving you the opportunity to remotely monitor and access your hosted surveillance system. Our mission in implementing this Privacy Policy is to, first, protect your personal information, and second, use it only to provide you with the highest quality services always for your own benefit and exclusively on your behalf. This Privacy Policy states our privacy practices for you, the subscriber, and your use of the www.sharpvuecam.com website, our Mobile site or applications, and all interactions between you and Sharpvue, LLC. Information Collection and Use

 

Sharpvue, LLC. collects and stores information that can be used to uniquely contact, identify, or locate you (“personally identifiable information”) only when you expressly and knowingly provide it. You provide us basic contact information such as name, address, phone number and email address. When you subscribe to our services, you provide us your personal preferences (e.g., unit description, sensor names) in order for us to personalize your services.

 

Information Sharing

 

Sharpvue, LLC will not disclose your personally identifiable information to any other entity except:

 

  • to your security company (also referred to as your Sharpvue Dealer, if you did not sign up for services directly from Sharpvue), the company through which you subscribed to our services. Your dealer has the right to use the information only in conformance with their privacy policy, but your dealer has no right to share the information with any third party not directly servicing your account. Accordingly, if you have any concerns about how your dealer will respect your privacy, please refer to their privacy policy before providing us - and therefore them - with any information.

  • when you have opted in to share the information with the entity.

  • when we need to share the information with an entity who works on our behalf to provide the services. (These entities do not have any right to use the personally identifiable information we provide to them beyond what is necessary to assist us.)

  • in response to a legal order, or when Sharpvue, LLC. believes you have acted in violation of your dealer's terms of use or applicable law.

In addition, Sharpvue, LLC. may disclose your information to third party service providers to provide services on behalf of Sharpvue, LLC. when the information has been converted to a form that cannot be used to identify you.

 

Information Protection

 

Sharpvue, LLC. has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of your information. We protect your information through a unique username and password, and we protect certain sensitive communications with our website through server authentication and secure connections.

 

Viewing, Updating, and Deleting Information

 

You may view, update, or delete your personally identifiable information at any time by following the links at www.SharpvueCam.com., LLC. to your profile and address book pages. These changes will be immediately made to our records. If you wish to stop notifications, you may do so through the website.

 

Customers of Sharpvue, LLC. Dealers: Changes to your user profile will not affect the records of your dealer. You should contact your dealer directly to make changes to its records.

We will use the term “the Services” to collectively describe the Sharpvue website, mobile apps
and associated features and functions.

What Information is Collected


In order to use the Services, we request users to provide the following Personal and Device
Information.


Personal Information:


● When you register on the website, we collect the following information: name, email,
password, and a username to identify yourself to the website. You can also choose to
supply additional information about your company and mailing address but this is not
required.


● The information you provide is used to uniquely identify you to the website and give you
private access to the service. This information is only used to provide access to the
Services, as well as communicate with you for service alerts or marketing and product
updates. You can control over whether you choose to receive these types of
communications.


● To process a purchase, additional information is requested by our 3rd party payment
processing provider, Braintree (a Paypal company). Sharpvue does not process or store
your credit card information.


Device Information:


● Sharpvue does not manufacture hardware devices of any kind, including IP cameras,
and we do not control what data you choose to capture with these devices, nor do we
have control over the quality and reliability of these devices. If you choose to configure
your device for use with the Services, we require some information about that device.


● Examples of device information required for the Services include but is not limited to,
model and serial number, network information (including IP address), device username
and password, device activity logs, and general device configuration.


● IP cameras are used to capture audio and video data (media), and when these devices
are configured for the Services -- and only when they are configured with the Services --

will media be transmitted to our servers where it is stored securely to ensure you can
access it and playback video footage or watch live video.


● Information about your web browser and operating system, mobile device type and
operating system, and IP addresses used by these clients.
How We Use Your Information


We use the Personal and Device information solely for the purpose of delivering the Services to
you, within the private account you have configured with the Services.
How You Can Control Your Information


● You can delete your account at anytime, and all Personal and Device Information, along
with any stored media (video or images) will be permanently deleted. This option is
available on the Settings page inside your account.


● You can download your stored media and archive it yourself. You can also delete
individual pieces of media that you don’t want to be saved anymore on our servers.


● You can review the information that is stored in your account by visiting the Edit Profile
menu, Edit Camera menus and the camera Timeline.
Cookie/Tracking Technology


This website uses cookies to improve the user experience and gather information such as
browser type and operating system, tracking the number of visitors to the website, and
understanding how visitors use the website. In general, personal information cannot be
collected via cookies and other tracking technology, however, if you previously provided
personally identifiable information, cookies may be tied to such information.
Distribution of Information


We will not share your personal information with anyone unless we are required by law or you
have provided consent to do so.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and are using commercially reasonable measures
to protect your personal information against loss or theft. The entirety of the Services are hosted
at Amazon Web Services data centers, primarily in the United States. It’s important to know that
no method of data storage or transmission is guaranteed to be 100% secure, therefore you
acknowledge that you use the Services at your own risk.
