Frequently Asked Questions
About the iVue and iScope

  1. Do I need to purchase any additional hardware or software to capture images like with most inspection systems today?
No. The iVue and iScope are self-contained units that do not require any additional hardware or software. Simply Plug and Play. Images are captured on screen by tapping the GRAB button then the SAVE button. A SAVE AS dialogue box will appear much like on any MS Office program and from there you can easily save a file to a USB stick or Internal Hard Drive.
  2. Do I need a keyboard to annotate a grabbed image?
No. A virtual keyboard is provided on screen. Text can be written using the touch screen or a mouse. If you would like to use a keyboard, simply plug in a USB keyboard.
  3. Where are the iVue and iScope Made?
Both products are Made With Pride in The USA.
  4. Why is it on the iScope, what I see on the screen is not what I see when looking through the microscope?
This is due to the fact that when you are looking through the microscope you are viewing a 3-D image. When looking at the screen you are seeing a 2-D image. Plus the screen adds magnification reducing the field of view.
  5. Is on-screen measurement possible?
Yes. That is one of the most sought after features of this product. Simply calibrate the unit and you are ready to measure. Easy to use help menus are located on screen to walk you through the process. Help menus are easily accessed by right clicking on the function buttons located at the bottom of the screen. It should also be noted, on-screen measurements when saved will appear on the saved image.
  6. Where can I find the technical specifications for each unit?
Simply click on the iVue or iScope tab on this website and the technical specifications will appear for each product.
